Actor Stephen Dillane, who played Stannis Baratheon on Game of Thrones up until season five, has admitted recently that he never actually followed the series.
Speaking to The Times, the actor, who currently stars in Sky Atlantic's series The Tunnel, said he relied on his co-star to tell him what's what.
"Liam Cunningham (who plays Davos Seaworth) is so passionate about the show," he said. "He invests in it in a way I think is quite moving, but it wasn't my experience.
"I was entirely dependent on Liam to tell me what the scenes were about - I didn't know what I was doing until we'd finished filming and it was too late.
"The damage had been done. I thought no-one would believe in me and I was rather disheartened by the end. I felt I'd built the castle on non-existent foundations."
In fairness, he did a pretty convincing job for someone who didn't know what was going on.
Turns out, he still doesn't know either, saying, "I've flicked it on [since leaving] to see if I could figure out what was going on, but I couldn't," he said.
Well, at least he's honest, but come on Dillane, get with the programme.
And good man Liam.
