We were all a bit 'teethface' when we first heard one of the best soaps ever was making a comeback last year. But Dallas returned with a bang, and was just as glam and trashy as ever!

Now we're into the thick of Season 2, and thus far we've had an attempted murder, partner swopping between cousins, and plenty of lurking random creepy henchmen. Sure what's not to love? Here's our Top Five:

The Tunes
Could this possibly be THE best theme tune of all time? It reminds us of Saturday nights, and happier times in the 80s when it was always sunny. Sounds best when pumped up to the loudest volume possible.

Old Faces

On another note of nostalgia, the return of original cast members has made this show extra special. It's one thing for forty-somethings of 90210 to do it, but SueEllen could give them all a run for their money looking more fab than ever in her seventies. Unfortunately the same can't really be said for Uncle Gary the former Knots Landing hottie who made a return appearance this week - lay off the fags there fella!

Familiar Folk
Two of the main cast members are alumni of Desperate Housewives. We'd all been wondering whatever happened to hot gardener John (apart from a fling with our Nadine Coyle). Now he's the good son, Christopher. Bobby's wife Ann shot herself in the first series of Housewives, and hasn't had much luck in Texas so far. Sure her daughter was kidnapped by her husband, who she then tried to kill, as you do.

VVOAPs
Is they're not sniping at each other (the insults between J.R and Cliff have been classic) then they're getting into the digital 'meeja' age; JR tricked Bobby into opening a vid of cute little doggies on his laptop - and it turned out to be a virus, Crafty!

The legend that is Larry Hagman
Recently voted as one of the best ever TV villains, J.R really was the ultimate baddie you loved to hate. This season it has been a tad tough watching his scenes, wondering which one will be his last. Turns out it was at the end of last week's episode while he was on the phone to John Ross, that we heard those fatal shots...

Tune in tonight to say a sad farewell to one of soap land's best characters, as J.R's funeral comes to TV3 at 10.00pm
