Andrew Sachs is a name known to many for his BAFTA nominated role as the hilarious waiter Manuel in John Cleese's Fawlty Towers, although since then you may be more familiar with his name being tied in with a certain phone call made by Russell Brand and Jonathan Ross, but let's not go there.
The actor is set to join the cast of EastEnders next week for a brief stint as a hospital roommate of Stan Carter (Timothy West) called Cyril.
As viewers will know, Stan is suffering from a terminal prostate cancer and it's well known the actor is set to leave the soap. Stan finds himself in hospital after collapsing at home and losing the feeling in his legs, and he's not long there before he meets Cyril. Although, it doesn't seem like the pair get off to the right start as Stan gets quite frustrated with his new roomie, but sure who doesn't Stan get frustrated with?
Either way, we are looking forward to seeing these two British acting legends play out their scenes together!
