Emma Stone revealed in an interview on 'The Tonight Show' that she drew from one of TV sitcoms' most renowned characters for a role.
Speaking to host Jimmy Fallon, Emma Stone said she unintentionally drew from Monica from 'Friends' for the voice of her character Eep.
Eep is a cavegirl who first appeared in the 2013 family animation 'The Croods'.
Emma Stone is reprising the role in 'The Croods 2: A New Age', which is being released theatrically in the US this week. The sequel arrives in Irish cinemas on 5 February, 2021.
The actress said: "I didn't notice until really, really recently that I think I'm a little bit inspired by Monica from 'Friends', who could not be more opposite from Eep as a character.
"I realised that sometimes my cadence goes into 'I KNOW!', like that sort of sound. And when I was watching it I was like, 'Am I doing Monica a lot? And I didn't realise it for ten years?'
"A little Easter egg that I didn't even know I was planting."
She also spoke about getting into character in the recording booth.
