With the final episode of How I Met Your Mother due to screen on US TV at the end of next month, casting for the spin-off series, How I Met Your Dad, is ongoing. It's now been reported that Eliza Dushku of Dollhouse and Buffy The Vampire Slayer is currently reading the script for the TV series.

Frances Ha star Greta Gerwig has been announced as the lead in the spin-off to the hit series, although there's been no word as yet on a concrete air date. Eliza Dushku has, unfortunately, had a bad run with TV series. Dollhouse was cancelled after two seasons, whilst Tru Calling was a bit of a mess. Considering that How I Met Your Dad was initially met with sceptisim by some, the show needs all the help it can get.
