There's some rather good news for fans of Elementary and The Big Bang Theory this fine Thursday morning! Both shows have just been renewed by US Network CBS for the 2013/14 season.

That means we'll be seeing more of Jonny Lee Miller's Sherlock and Lucy Liu's Dr Joan Watson, who regularly pull in a whopping 10 million viewers Stateside with their antics. RadioTimes.com says that Elementary's second season will probably come to our screens via Sky Living too.

Of course The Big Bang Theory has been around for considerably longer, and today's recommission means the show will stretch right through to it's seventh Season. That's some seriously good going for the little science-based sitcom that could, and the news should keep fans of the show more than happy.

The shows join the likes of Person of Interest, The Good Wife, 2 Broke Girls, Mike and Molly, How I Met Your Mother, NCIS, CSI, NCIS: LA, Hawaii Five-0, The Mentalist, Blue Bloods, Amazing Race, Survivor, Undercover Boss, 60 Minutes and 48 Hours, which will all return next year.
