Really, if you want to go in cold to the final episode of this series, it's for the best that you stay away now.

Granted, there's only one scene as such that gets spoiled, but it's pretty revealing to say the least and definitely comes out of nowhere - so we're being pretty clear about it being a spoiler. Read on only if you want a description and some theories about what we've seen.

Let's do our customary wait-for-people to leave thing.

Right, OK, so the promo opens with Commander Waterford whispering a line that is likely to turn up on a thousand Twitter bios right after the episode airs - "You are the misery of all men..." - before we see Aunt Lydia and Emily in Commander Lawrence's house, Emily hiding a knife in her robe, and then we see Waterford placing his ring on the table as Serena explains that she did something - not shown, obviously - as "an example to our daughter," right before we see Serena being taken away.

Your guess is as good as ours on what it was that Serena did that was so terrible for her own husband to turn her in, but either way, s**t is definitely going to go down on next week's finale. We'll have a full review on site next Friday morning, and you can read our weekly recap / reviews here if you fancy.
