Hands up who knows where Winterfell is? Why, it's along the King's Road in the middle of the northern province of the Seven Kingdom at the eastern edge of Wolfswood of course! Wrong - it's in Northern Ireland. And you can go to there.
What the Stark?! - I hear you say. It's true - an intuitive company, Game of Thrones Tours are taking die-hard fans to Winterfell and other key locations that are filmed in Northern Ireland for the hit show.
It was only a matter of time of course. Game of Thrones enthusiasts will already know that Northern Ireland is the most important location for the most popular programme on TV right now, with many scenes filmed in Belfast's Paint Hall Studio - which is, incidentally, the biggest studio space in the whole wide world.
Visitors to the studio can expect to see the Red Keep's Great Hall, complete with the Iron Throne, the Sept of Baelor and the Eyrie.
The tour takes in out-door locations like Winterfell, of course, where GoT aficionados can hone their archery skills and do other fun activies (there may be costumes...) and other cool places, including castles and stuff.
Two tours are available, one starting in Belfast and the other in Dublin and sure, it sounds like a good bit of craic. The Game of Thrones makers didn't choose Northern Ireland to film for nothing and it must be said the locations look terrific on screen. But if you've read this far I'm sure I don't have to convince you.
