Don't mess with Philip Schofield's co-host Holly Willoughby, because the silver fox will fight back. He proved as much when he took to Twitter to defend Holly's honour after Fern Britton's former agent launched a scathing attack on her in a British newspaper.
Jon Roseman didn't mince his words when he penned a piece on TV presenters for The Daily Mail, labelling Holly a bimbo and having quite the rant about her rise to fame. "Just in case you ever wondered what was so wrong with television today, you need look no further than presenter Holly Willoughby and the news that she is on her way to amassing a £10 million fortune", he wrote. "How has she done it? Not by showing a single flicker of talent, that’s for sure", he continued, before adding that she wasn't a patch on her predecessor Fern Britton, and slamming her for showing her emotions on screen. Ouch. Bit harsh if we do say so ourselves.
It wasn't long before Schofield jumped to the defence of his co-host though. "When did the rants of a washed up, out of touch, inaccurate, old TV agent become relevant?" he tweeted. "Must've been paid by the word. Sod off Jon Roseman." Talk about your war of words...
We're sure Holly won't let the talent agent's criticism get to her though. Between The Voice UK, This Morning, Celebrity Juice and her numerous endorsement deals, she's proved that she's more than worth her weight in gold to telly bosses. And sure haven't they tipped her for a great big takeover in the US of A now too?
