In completely unnecessary and borderline sacrilegious news, the upcoming and totally uncalled-for TV reboot of Dirty Dancing will go beyond the original's story and tell you what happened to Baby Houseman and Johnny Castle after the lift.
Yes, because we all needed to know about that. While we're at it, let's find out what happened at the end of Casablanca, Se7en, Forrest Gump (there actually was a sequel to that, in fairness) and about a dozen other films that ended on the perfect note.
In an interview with Metro.co.uk, Debra Messing - who plays Marjorie Houseman, originally played by Kelly Bishop - explains that, in the TV reboot, "you find out what happens to Baby and Johnny years later. And that was always something that you were left wondering. You are wondering, do they end up together? Do they – what happens? And this movie actually answers that question."
That's a question nobody wanted answered, Grace.
So what actually happens? Don't look any further if you'd rather not know.

Still here? So, the film jumps forward to the '70s and Baby has written a book called Dirty Dancing which is about to be adapted into a Broadway musical and will be choreographed by Johnny Castle. Johnny explains that Baby's faith in him helped him to become a professional dancer. Baby, meanwhile, is married to someone else and has a daughter - but still attends weekly dance classes with Johnny Castle.
So, yeah, terrible idea and completely unnecessary. But here we are.
