Well, last night's season three premiere definitely was a memorable one, with one of Northern Ireland's most famous action heroes appearing in the comedy series. And the poor lad had to listen to Uncle Colm drone on...
'Derry Girls' was back with a bang last night, recruiting Liam Neeson as the episode's guest star. With this being the very final season of the comedy series, expectations were high - but the season opener delivered on the goods.
While the "adults" of the show were dealing with Seamus the cat killing the neighbour's pet rabbit, the five Derry Girls were off on a mission to break into the school. After an encounter with Sister (George!) Michael (Siobhán McSweeney) at the video store, the girlies decided that a peek at their GCSE results was needed in order to calm themselves down.
And so, Orla Mccool (Louisa Clare Harland), Clare Devlin (Nicola Coughlan), Erin Quinn (Saoirse Monica Jackson), Michelle Mallon (Jamie - Lee O'Donnell) and James Maguire (Dylan Llewellyn) headed off to school but ended up bumping into "Hans" and his buddy, who they realised afterwards were stealing all of the school's new computer equipment.
Carted off to the police station, their interrogator of the night turned out to be Ballymena's own Liam Neeson, the action star of 'Taken'.
Stuck in quite the pickle, the five teens are asked to get in touch with one of their parents to sort out the ordeal. Their saviour? Erin's Uncle Colm (Kevin McAleer).
Here's how viewers reacted while watching last night's 'Derry Girls' featuring Liam Neeson. Unsurprisingly, there was a lot of love for Uncle Colm.
Let's give it up for the hero of the night: Uncle Colm.
