Looks like Derren Brown has been getting inspiration from the movie 'Now You See Me' as he attempts to pull off a art heist for a one off special on Channel 4.

Derren Brown: The Great Art Robbery will see the illusionist bet art collector Ivan Mascow that he can steal a painting from right under his nose, using a team of pensioners. Sounds like it might be doomed from the beginning. Brown will train his motley crew the basic knowledge to pull off the robbery, how to move in perfect synchronicity and most importantly, how to not get caught by security. To make the task even more impossible, Mascow will be aware of the robbery, knowing when and what time Brown aims to steal the painting and will also have a photo of the culprit.

Speaking about his latest challenge Brown said, 'This has been nerve-wracking for me and my team, leaving such an extraordinary task entirely in the hands of a group of contributors to pull off. The idea was to use the fact that the elderly tend to be treated as invisible as a strength. There's only so much training you can give, so many worst-case scenarios you can try to cover. I'm used to feeling in control with these shows - but not with this one. It's a big caper - fun, edge-of-seat, hopefully taking you to unexpected places.'

Derren Brown: The Great Art Robbery will air on Channel 4 in December.
