It may be subjective, but David Tennant has always been our favourite Doctor, so much so we wish he actually practised locally rather than being a time-travelling humanoid alien but you can't always always get what you want.With the BBC Doctor Who 50th anniversary special airing this November, the Scottish- and devilish when it comes to the oul charm, may we irrelevantly add- actor has spoken about his return to the show in an interview with SFX.
Talking about his time as the tenth Doctor, Tennant told fans to expect a different side to his character to appear in the episode when paired alongside other doctors such as the subsequent arrival Matt Smith, the eleventh and most recent Doctor to air on TV. Tennant commented 'the Doctor tends to lead every scene he is in and when you are sharing that out it becomes slightly different [...] You have a new relationship with that aspect of the character and that gives you fresh challenges to work on.'
According to the tenth Doctor, the anniversary special idea of starring multiple Doctors was foreseeable for the actors themselves, as there has always been talk about what would happen if they were to meet. Somethin beautiful, we predict. He went on to add that long-term fams and newcomers to the show alike will find the anniversary an appealing and accessible watch, attributing the success of the show to it's broad audience. Just when we thought we never wanted to see Winter again, the Doctor sheds new light for us.
