It's one of the most talked about gigs in TV land at the moment, just who will take over from Jeremy Clarkson on Top Gear?
Many a name has been bandied about, including Dermot O'Leary, Jodie Kidd, and Chris Evans, but now folks, there's a new name in the mix. I guess he was just standing in the darkness... afraid to step into the light. (Sorry).
David Haselhoff has thrown his hat into the ring, and you know, he may not be that bad a choice. This is the guy who drove TV's most famous car for many a year, so it's not like he doesn't have some auto experience.
The Knight Rider star told Radiotimes that he loves nothing more than to sit down to an episode of Top Gear, saying that he had watched the show about 800 times.
When asked if he would like to present it, he said; "Why not?"
"When I started to work with Dave I watched Top Gear about 800 times. It's great."
The former Baywatch star is currently at 16/1 with Paddy Power, so he hardly has it in the bag. And we know it's a really bad idea, we KNOW it is, but still, if KITT was there too...
