David Boreanaz has offered a response to the allegations that have come against Joss Whedon.
His co-star Charisma Carpenter alleged Whedon "abused his power on numerous occasions" on the sets of 'Buffy the Vampire Slayer' and 'Angel'.
Carpenter played Cordelia Chase in both series, which were created by Whedon.
In a lengthy statement on Twitter, she said she witnessed "disturbing incidents" working with the showrunner.
She added that she "felt powerless and alone" as well as disempowered and alienated as a result.
A number of 'Buffy' stars, including Sarah Michelle Gellar, Michelle Trachtenberg, Amber Benson and Clare Kramer, have voiced their support of Carpenter.
Their co-star Anthony Head recently offered his thoughts on the allegations too.
David Boreanaz, who starred with Carpenter in both series, playing the titular Angel, has now spoken out.
Responding to the actress's original tweet, he wrote: "I am here for you to listen and support you. Proud of your strength."
Carpenter replied to the tweet, demonstrating that the actor has been showing his support for her privately too.
She wrote: "I know you’re there for me, David. I appreciate all you’ve done to demonstrate that support privately as well. Especially since Wednesday. -Thank you so much."
