'Little Demon' is the new animated comedy series on the horizon from TV network FX, and they've only gone and nabbed one of the most recognisable voices as one of the lead roles.
The Danny Devito animated series 'Little Demon' has been announced to begin production very soon indeed. The star of 'It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia' and many of your childhood traumas will be playing the role of that Devil in the series. Sounds like a pretty on-the-money casting choice.
Joining Danny will be Aubrey Plaza, who is also another star who we've all had previous nightmares of. Aubrey landed on our screens as the sarcastic April Ludgate from 'Parks and Recreation', and also played the off-the-wall role of Lenny in FX's mind-bending 'X-Men' spin-off 'Legion'.
Danny DeVito has also managed to recruit his daughter Lucy and son Jake for the project. Lucy DeVito is relatively unknown, but has had a number of minor roles in movies and TV shows such as 'It's Always Sunny' as Jenny, and in 'The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel' as Irene. Jake meanwhile has remained relatively under the radar, and produced 'Curmudgeons' which his father directed. Danny, his children, and Aubrey will all executive produce the series too.
Executive producer Dan Harmon will be in charge of the Danny DeVito animated series, and his previous back-catalogue of work includes 'The Simpsons', being the co-creator of 'Rick and Morty', and also the series creator of 'Community' (which might be getting a Netflix movie).
Anticipation is high for the series as FX ramps up production on animation series just like this. 'Little Demon' is believed to have been in production for a long while, and now the time is right for the series to begin production - and it begins recording next week.
