We can't quite get our heads around those US dating shows, but that doesn't mean The Bachelor and The Bachelorette don't pull in the viewers, and Justin Bieber's mammy set hearts racing when she hinted that she'd love to appear on the show.
For those of you who don't know how these shows work, here's a rundown in layman's terms. Man/Woman decides they want wife/husband, goes on TV show to select said guy/girl from a carefully selected batch of finely groomed individuals, after spending time with pretty much all of 'em, and then pops the question at the very end. Fast track up the aisle so it is!
Anyway, Biber's mammy, Pattie Mallette, was spotted tweeting along to last night's Bachelorette, and dropped a few tweets suggesting that she'd love a shot at love (Don't mention Tila Tequila...) herself. "Who will be the next Bachelorette? Me perhaps?? Hmmmmm..." she wrote.
It wasn't long before just about everyone online was screaming about it, so she did have to clear the whole thing up later on, tweeting that she'd just been having a laugh!
Wonder how the Biebs would feel about that one now. Sure if he brings Harry Styles home for dinner there'll be no need for Patti to go on the hunt for a fella. In the words of Joe Dolan, she's such a good lookin woman...
