We thought we'd seen the last of her, as had so many others on the street, even her kids, but she has managed to find her way back to the cobbles. It's only Fiz and Chesney's ma Cilla!
It was announced in June that Wendi Peters will return to her Cilla Battersby-Brown character, and it's been confirmed on Twitter that she has now begun filming, with the scenes to air in October.
Speaking of her return, Peters commented: "I'm really thrilled to have the opportunity to revisit Cilla and the cobbles for a short while and to see what she has been up to for the last seven years."
Since Cilla left for sunnier shores, both her children have found love, and she is of course a grandmother now, what will she have to say about all this? And all that's gone on in her absence - her daughter marrying a murderer and all that craic.
Coronation Street's producer Stuart Blackburn added: "We can't wait to see Cilla back on the cobbles, she's a truly unforgettable character who is at the heart of Corrie's rich history."
Cilla was quite the trouble maker on the Street back in the day if you remember, kind of a cross between Tracey and... Beth we'll say.
The actress is set to return just for six week stint for now, and we can't wait to see what mayhem she causes for all.
Cilla's BACCCCK!
