When Marvel's Jessica Jones arrived on Netflix last November, it was met with pretty huge praise by everyone - ourselves included.
Needless to say, the show picked up a huge cult following since then and today, at the TCA Press Tour, Netflix confirmed that Jessica Jones is returning for a second season.
Speaking at the announcement, showrunner / executive producer Melissa Roseberg confirmed the news that a further 13 episodes have been ordered for the superpowered detective. Although Jessica Jones was clearly going to be renewed, it took quite a while for official confirmation to come through the vines.
As for who'll be starring, it's still too early days to tell. The only confirmed cast returning is Krysten Ritter as the titular character, however Mike Colter - who played Luke Cage - is due to get his own spinoff series in the near future as well.
So, thoughts? Jessica Jones was pretty unique when it landed on our screens and it was every bit as good as we could have hoped for. The question is, however, how will they top it? Where can they take it from here that'll keep as engaging and different as the first season? Or is it just a one-season wonder? We'll know pretty soon, hopefully.
