You heard it straight from the horse's mouth, folks - Claire Danes has confirmed in a new interview that Homeland will come to an end after Season 8.
Danes was talking to Howard Stern for his Sirius XM show, and when Stern noted that we have "one more season, then we're wrapping it up", she said: "yeah, that’s it.”
She said that she had 'conflicted' feelings about the idea of the long-running series ending, saying “She’s a lot, this Carrie-freakin’ Mathison character... it’s a workout, [so] I’ll be ready for a reprieve from that.”
Danes also announced that she was expecting her second child with husband Hugh Dancy, but as Season 8 isn't expected to start filming until the end of the year, it's not likely to affect production.
