If you were a big fan of The I.T Crowd back in the day then you're in for a treat because that much hyped farewell special has finally been given an air date.

Series creator Graham Linehan took to Twitter to share the good news with fans, revealing that the show will air on Channel 4 at the end of September. He had previously been teasing I.T Crowd lovers with a series of Vine videos about the new episode.

Our own Chris O'Dowd reunites with Richard Ayoade, Katherine Parkinson and Matt Berry for the one-off special, which was originally mooted in December 2012. Originally aired between 2006 and 2010, the show was one of Channel 4's most popular comedies.
