Now THIS would make The X Factor a hell of a lot more interesting next series. Well look, at least for a few episodes anyways.

According to The Daily Star Cheryl Cole has been offered a £2million deal by Simon Cowell to return as a judge on the show.

The pair have long since made amends after their falling out over the US X Factor, so this would surely cement the friendship once more.

Also, think we were all getting a wee bit fed up of all the Schermazings and Mrs.O with her china cups. The Geordie lass could bring a dose of reality back to the show that it needs.

The judging panel will have a whole new look this series with Gary Barlow and Louis Walsh gone, and Sharon Osbourne unlikely to return. There are rumours Simon Cowell may even return as a fifth judge to help save the show from its falling ratings.

Cowell and Cole side by side again? Now that, we'd like to see.
