It’s now looking more and more likely that the next destination of E! presenter and comedian Chelsea Handler will be Netflix.
Handler had been thought to be in the frame to replace legendary Late Night host David Letterman, but network CBS didn’t mess around, replacing Letterman very quickly with popular Comedy Central stalwart, Stephen Colbert.
Handler was never really likely to end up on one of the major networks, as her style wouldn’t suit the easily offended demos that excite advertisers around this time.
No word on the format of her new show, but we’d assume it’d be similar to Chelsea Lately; several nights a week and recorded as live.
Interesting move for her regardless.
