When Channel 4 gave Gok his own cookery show, it became obvious that they'd run out of things to do with him. Now they're basically roaring it from the rafters by trying to make him their answer to Cilla Black. Apologies, they're trying to "rebrand him" as a presenter, "not just a stylist"…
Anyway, they have him presenting this new dating show called Baggage. The Sun reports: "Baggage is an eight-part series due to air later this year. In it, potential partners are picked from contestants who gradually reveal their secrets and flaws - hidden in suitcases."
A Channel 4 "insider" said: "Bosses really like Gok and they think he will be perfect for a dating show. It is hoped Baggage could become as big as Cilla Black's Blind Date."
It is indeed a good fit for Gok; he'll still get to hug people and talk about "bangers" at lot.
