The new documentary will look at the life of the late star, who died tragically at 40 years old. This February marks one year since she passed away.
‘Caroline Flack: Her Life and Death’ will release on Channel 4 next month. No concrete release date has yet been provided by the broadcaster, but the Caroline Flack documentary will feature interviews with her close friends and family.
Caroline Flack, who presented ‘Love Island’ for five seasons, passed away on February 15, 2020, after being discovered in her home in London. In 2019, she quit the reality series, with Laura Whitmore stepping in as her replacement.
Before her ‘Love Island’ gig, she was crowned the winner of ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ in 2014. She also presented ‘The X factor’ with Olly Murs following a re-shuffle of the format.
The upcoming Channel 4 documentary is believed to focus on her family life and upbringing, with home videos and interviews with Caroline’s twin sister Jody and her mother, Christine, to feature. Ahead of the documentary’s release, her family has uploaded previously unseen photos of the star, which can be seen here.
Some of Caroline’s celebrity friends will also appear throughout the documentary to pay tribute to the late star, including Olly Murs and Dermot O’Leary. The UK media and how she was portrayed will also be put under the spotlight.
Speaking in a clip from the trailer, Olly Murs says: "I just wish I could have told her not to do it. I never got the opportunity to do that."
Here’s the trailer for the Caroline Flack documentary, which will release on Channel 4 in March.
