What happens when two incredible talents come together for one TV show? A kaleidoscope of awesomeness, hopefully, but no pressure like. Vince Gilligan has written a new show for CBS called Battle Creek, and The Usual Suspects director Bryan Singer has come on board to direct the pilot.
Singer is also known for this work on The X-men movies, as well as Superman Returns, with this most recent TV credit being ABC's The Black Box. While Vince Gilligan is of course the writer and director of Breaking Bad. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Singer will also executive produce the 13 episode crime drama series, alongside House creator David Shore.
The TV show will centre on Detectives Russ (Dean Winters) and FBI agent Milton (yet to be cast), who must team up despite their opposing views, and ultimately clean up the streets of Battle Creek.
To be honest, that makes it sound a bit run of the mill really, doesn't it? Although, with these two on board, it seems like it must be destined for success.
