The much anticipated third season of Broadchurch will see David Tennant and Olivia Colman reprise their roles as detectives Miller and Hardy, and will have a rake load more famous faces joining the cast too, including popular former Corrie star, Julie Hesmondhalgh, aka Hayley Cropper.
We have had the trailer and some plot details but no air date, until today, and it turns out it's very soon indeed, as it's been announced the new season will premiere on Monday, February 27. That's less than two weeks away!
This season, which is set to be the last, will see Miller and Hardy reuniting to investigate the case of a sexual assault.
Also joining the cast are Lenny Henry and Sarah Parish and Georgina Campbell, while Arthur Darvill and Carolyn Pickles will also return.
Creator Chris Chibnall has his hopes set on creating a thrilling final season, previously saying: "This is the final chapter of Broadchurch. We have one last story to tell, featuring both familiar faces and new characters. I hope it’s a compelling and emotional farewell to a world and show that means so much to me."
