It was the catchphrase of 2013, and let's face it, this year too. Jesse Pinkman's shouting 'yeah, bitch!' to whoever would listen became as synonymous with the show as the meth they cooked. However, it seems actor Aaron Paul may have just got a little fed up of saying it all. the. time.
For a while there, he seemed to be embracing it, throwing it out there at every award the show won, and oh how we all laughed, but Paul told GQ magazine; "[People say bitch to me] every day. When I was walking in Hyde Park in London yesterday to get a beer by the water, these two guys rode their bikes past me and I heard them say, 'Yeah bitch'. People ask me if I will call them a bitch. I'll do it for a little longer, but I'm trying to wean myself off it."
The actor is currently voicing a character for a new Netflix series called BoJack Horseman alongside Will Arnett. He told the magazine; "BoJack I think is absolutely brilliant. Is it Breaking Bad? No, it's just different. But a lot of people don't come close to that opportunity."
Maybe he will get a new catchphrase on that show? Possibly. In the meantime, let's all take a lead out of Aaron Paul's book and reserve saying 'Yeah Bitch' for occasions that truly warrant it. Like when you successfully rob 2000 gallons of methylamine from a train without them noticing. That kind of thing.
