There's been a massive Breaking Bad sized hole in our lives since the culmination of arguably television finest ever series earlier this month but in a fitting tribute to the show, fans have raised thousands of dollars for one of Albuquerque's most beloved (or reviled, depending on how you see it) characters.

Beware of spoilers!

Over 200 people attended a fake funeral service for the show's main character Walter White, played by Bryan Cranston, where the show's fans raised upwards of $17,000 for the Healthcare For The Homeless charity.

The funeral procession was led by a hearse, as well as the show's iconic RV, and culminated at an actual grave site where Breaking Bad's set director Michael Flowers spoke about White, followed by a reception in a local restaurant.

However, it's not all sunshine and roses as some local residents are concerned that the gravesite will lead to a convergence of tourists at the graveyard and have launched a petition to have it removed - or as Saul Goodman might say, "send it to Bali."
