In our humble opinion Bill Burr is the funniest man on the planet. His stand up is the kind that only gets funnier the more you watch it; while his podcast, 'The Monday Morning Podcast' is generally just him talking for an hour or so and still regularly gold.
For newbies, he's popped up in Breaking Bad, The Heat and Date Night. But performing his own material is really where he shines.
For the past few weeks on TMMPC Burr has been teasing about a project he had in the works. And now all has been revealed.
Burr will voice the lead character, alongside Laura Dern and Justin Long for an animated series based on his stand up comedy, F is for Family. The show will be produced by Vince Vaughn and has been co-created by Emmy winning Simpsons regular, Michael Price - who'll act as showrunner. Given how superb Netflix original Bojack Horseman was, this can only be a wonderful meeting of talent and platform.
“F is for Family is the show I've always wanted to do. It captures all the characters of my childhood the way I remember it to be. Fortunately Mike Price and everyone at Wild West (Vaughn's company) seem to know the same people I knew growing up. It's going to be a lot of fun to tell these stories," said Bill Burr.
The show will premiere in 2015.
We have a feeling we're gonna watch the whole thing in one sitting.
Burr's newest special will also be available on Netflix from December 5th. He played Vicar Street last year and brought the house down. Don't miss it.
