For many people of a certain age, 'Gladiators' was a staple of Saturday night TV.
In a pre-internet age, the ITV series was the pinnacle of the week's televisual entertainment as the likes of Wolf, Jet, Hunter and Saracen were pitted against plebs in various contests - before the two competitors had to race each other in a huge obstacle course.
The show originally ran in 1992 but now, the series is being rebooted by the BBC. It's the second time that the show has been rebooted, following Sky 1's short-lived revival in 2008.
'The Chase' quiz presenter Bradley Walsh will host the new version of 'Gladiators' alongside his son Barney, following the pair's successful stint on recent documentary 'Bradley & Barney Walsh: Breaking Dad'.
The pair have a link to the show as Bradley's wife and Barney's mum Donna was the choreographer for the cheerleaders on the original series.
Meanwhile, the first two Gladiators have also been announced: they are called 'Fury', aka professional rugby player Jodie Ounsley, and 'Steel', aka UK crossfit star Zack George.
Ounsley is profoundly deaf and won the title of Deaf Sports Personality of The Year in 2020.
The show, which will be filmed at Sheffield Arena, is set to air later this year on BBC One.
