He's both loved and loathed by the American people for his more relaxed attitude so would we really be THAT surprised to see Barack Obama making a cameo appearance in a smash hit drama?
As per CBS news, the President of the United States (that's what POTUS stands for, in case you ever wondered) was in a meeting to discuss NSA surveillance, when Netflix CEO Reed Hastings offered him the opportunity to get involved with the streaming giant's Golden Globe and Emmy Award-nominated series.
His offer wasn't a bolt from the blue though: It only came after Obama had expressed his interest in the drama, much to the amusement of the other tech leaders in the room. "I'm just wondering if you brought advance copies of House of Cards?" Obama asked, before Hastings suggested he join the cast of the drama.
And as for the President's answer? Well, he didn't say no but he didn't exactly say yes either, joking that Kevin Spacey's Frank Underwood was certainly "getting stuff done" and saying he wouldn't mind if "things were that ruthlessly efficient" in real-life Washington DC.
Oh well, we won't rule out an appearance later on down the line. Perhaps when his Presidential term is over in 2016?
