Ant McPartlin was up in court today following his drink-driving arrest last month after a car accident.
The TV host was fined £86,000 and banned from driving for 20 months after pleading guilty to being twice the legal limit.
Ant appeared in Wimbledon Magistrates' Court today (16 April) following a collision with two other vehicles on March 18.
In a witness statement, a driver of one of the other cars said in their witness statement that they "could have died as a result of Mr McPartlin's reckless driving".
Sentencing him, the district judge said: "At the time when it happened you were struggling with various personal problems and also alcohol issues for some months.
"This incident happened, sadly, when it seems you suffered a brief relapse."
She went on to describe McPartlin's previous "exemplary character", adding: "I think it will have quite an impact on you to know you're no longer a man of good character."

Speaking outside the court following his conviction, Ant said: "I just want to say I'm truly sorry for what happened, higher standards are expected of me, I expect them of myself.
"I let myself down, I let a lot of people down, for that I'm truly sorry. I'd like to apologise to everyone involved in the crash, I'm just thankful that no one was seriously hurt."
