The Voice US really do manage to snag the cream of the crop when it comes to the musical talent on the judging panel, well compared to us, no offense Bressie. Singer Gwen Stefani has just been confirmed for the show and will be taking over from the pregnant Christina Aguilera for the upcoming seventh season.
It's been rumoured for a few weeks now that the former No Doubt singer might join the series, as ever since Aguilera announced she was pregnant in February producers have been looking for a replacement. Although it looks like it may only be for this season, as the Candyman singer has already signed on for the eighth series. She also wished Stefani well in a tweet yesterday;
So excited to have you join #TheVoice squad @GwenStefani! Welcome to our crazy fam! Kisses- xoxo #blondesdoitbest

Eugh, showbiz is seriously sickly sweet sometimes ey? The news comes following the announcement that Coldplay's Chris Martin will also be joining the panel of the upcoming series along with Pharrell Williams. This means Maroon 5's Adam Levine will be the only original judge left on the series, guess he'll have to show them the ropes so, can't be too hard; 'Press this button to turn the chair around... and.. yep, you're done!'
