Singer Gwen Stefani has just been confirmed for the show and will be taking over from the pregnant Christina Aguilera for the upcoming seventh season.

It's been rumoured for a few weeks now that the former No Doubt singer might join the series, as ever since Aguilera announced she was pregnant in February producers have been looking for a replacement. Although it looks like it may only be for this season, as the Candyman singer has already signed on for the eighth series. She also wished Stefani well in a tweet yesterday;
