An animated comedy series based on the British royal family is on the way. And with the royals more in the headlines than ever before, the timing for it couldn't be more apt.
The show is a satire and it's called 'The Prince'. It takes a look at the royals through the eyes of Prince George, the eldest child of Prince William and Princess Kate.
There's a great voice cast lined up with Orlando Bloom cast as Prince Harry, Condola Rashad as Meghan Markle, Lucy Punch as Kate Middleton, Tom Hollander as both Prince Philip and Prince Charles, Alan Cumming as George’s butler Owen, Frances De La Tour as Queen Elizabeth, and Iwan Rheon as Prince William.
Gary Janetti, who's a writer and producer on 'Family Guy' and 'Will & Grace', is behind the series. As well as writing and executive producing the show, he'll also voice the 6-year-old title character.
The series is inspired by Janetti’s now-famous Instagram account which pokes fun at the royals.
20th Century Fox Television will produce and the show will air on HBO Max.
