Just when you thought Awards Season was finally over, the good folks at the Critics Choice TV Awards have only gone and revealed the nominees for the 2013 ceremony.
American Horror Story: Asylum and The Bang Theory are leading the way with six nominations each, while NBC's Parks and Recreation and new drama Top of the Lake have five nods each. Hot on their heels are Game of Thrones, Breaking Bad, The Good Wife, Louie, New Girl, Political Animals and The Americans, with four nominations a piece.
Horror Story has been quite the smash hit on both sides of the water, but with the likes of Jessica Lange, James Cromwell and Zachary Quinto among the cast, we're hardly surprised. It will return for a third season, and with Kathy Bates on board we're sure it will enjoy similar success next year.
And yes, they still love Downton Abbey across the Atlantic too: It's going head to head with The Americans, Breaking Bad, Game of Thrones, The Good Wife and Homeland for Best Drama Series. We'll have to wait until June 10th to find out who's nabbed the much coveted award: That's when the ceremony takes place at the famous Beverly Hilton Hotel.
