We have all been so busy wondering if Brad Pitt was going to take a part in the next True Detective, we forgot there were in fact many other eligible actors out there who could take over as lead for the second series of the drama.
Nerdist.com has reported that actress Jessica Chastain has been offered a role in the series although she has yet to accept. It follows rumours that creator Nic Pazzolatto may go for a more female driven cast following the male orientated nature of the first series. He also has described it as being about "hard women, bad men and the secret occult history of the United States transportation system."
The 'Zero Dark Thirty' star would definitely be a fitting choice, assuming she is being offered a lead detective role, but what of Mr Pitt? Will they be partners a la Marty and Rust? Or will Pitt be one of these 'bad men' Pizzolatto referred to? So many questions.
