Day Three

Peter Collins presents coverage of day three of the Games, including the men's artistic gymnastics team final at Ariake Gymnastics Centre, where the likes of Great Britain, Russia, China and the hosts are expected to contend. Over at the Tokyo Aquatics Centre, American Katie Ledecky will be competing again. The women's 1500m freestyle is a new race at this year's Olympics, and as the longest race in the pool, it will be a real test of endurance - but no one will be better suited to it than Ledecky, who is the world record holder. Over at Makuhari Messe Hall, the gold-medal matches in the women's -67kg and men's -80kg Taekwondo disciplines take place. At the same venue, the women's sabre and men's foil individual fencing finals are held, while medals are decided in the mixed doubles table tennis at Tokyo Metropolitan Gymnasium
