Channel 4 brings viewers the typical Saturday night in with this new comedy extravaganza. In a slightly different format, a comedian tells the story of an entire year to an audience at London's Hackney Empire theatre. Over the course of their two-hour stand-up set, the host recounts the most embarrassing, entertaining and memorable stories of their chosen year, illustrating them with the best and funniest clips from the time. In this programme, comedian Rufus Hound asks viewers to cast their minds back to a more innocent time, albeit one that's a mere ten years ago. In 2000, Keith Chegwin hosting a naked gameshow set in a jungle was considered family viewing, and some of us were still worried that our video recorders were going to be eaten alive by the Millennium Bug. The Best of V Festival 2010 follows at 00.05am and features highlights from Florence and the Machine, Pet Shop Boys, Kasabian, Kings of Leon, David Guetta, Scouting for Girls, Stereophonics, the Prodigy, Faithless, Doves, Paul Weller, Groove Armada and the Charlatans.
