The Irish equivalent of the Mercury Prize, the Choice Music Awards have produced many the worthy yet often unpredictable winners down the years, and this year was no exception. The event, which took place last Thursday night in Vicar Street, saw modern trad supergroup The Gloaming claim the prize, with stiff competition from the likes of U2, Sinead O'Connor, Damien Rice and Hozier. While The Script managed to bag song of the year off the public vote for their single 'Superheroes'. Eoghan McDermott and Blathnaid Treacy will present highlights of the event on Sunday night which features interviews with Hozier and Sinead O'Connor as well as performances by Delorentos, We Cut Corners and a stunning set from James Vincent McMorrow.
