Úna Ní Bhroin

Úna Ní Bhroin would often be brought to protests on her parents' shoulders as a child, and this life of protest continued into young adulthood. In 1997 when Wicklow County Council wanted to build a motorway through the Glen of the Downs, this ecowarrior knew her time had come and she went to live in the trees. She, along with 12 other protesters were arrested and spent a week in prison because of their efforts.
