Day Five BBC1 - 3
Clare Balding and Gabby Logan present coverage of a busy evening session on day five from Birmingham, where a combined 16 finals take place in swimming and athletics at Sandwell Aquatics Centre and Alexander Stadium. In the pool, England's world record holder Adam Peaty will be looking to prevail in the 50m breaststroke, but has only just returned from a fractured foot. He was beaten for the first time in four years in the final of this event in 2018 as South Africa's Cameron van der Burgh took gold. Luke Greenbank and James Guy will be vying to add to their medal collections in the 200m backstroke and 100m butterfly respectively, with the latter event set to include South African Chad le Clos as he pursues his goal to become the most successful athlete in Commonwealth history. Meanwhile, Olympic pole vault bronze medallist Holly Bleasdale goes for gold, as do highly-decorated para-sprinters Sophie Hahn and Hannah Cockroft.
