Green-skinned Elphaba Thropp becomes part of the new intake at Shiz University, and shares a room with fellow spell-caster Galinda Upland. It's the beginning of a friendship which culminates in an epic showdown as Elphaba transforms a renegade witch with a skill for bursting into show-stopping songs, like Defying Gravity.
