While exploring space for new worlds, a probe belonging to the Life Foundation discovers a comet covered in symbiotic lifeforms. Following the probe's return to Earth, journalist Eddie Brock investigates sinister trials being carried out by the corporation, and after being infected by an alien symbiote, develops superhuman strength and power.
