A washed-up prizefighter raising a seven-year-old son is unexpectedly reunited with his ex-wife, who is now wealthy and successful. She announces she wants the boy to live with her, as she can provide him with a better future. As the youngster becomes impressed by his mother's glamorous lifestyle, the boxer decides to return to the ring to win back his affection.
