The teams set off for checkpoint four - the remote outpost of Churchill that is only accessible by a twice-weekly train and where polar bears can outnumber people. One team make their first major mistake of the race trying to get to Calgary - they'll need to make a race-changing decision to get to the train in time. Another pair encounter a family of missionaries who make them question their reasons for running the race. And one contestant gets more than they bargained for when a bear blocks their path to the train, putting their race in jeopardy.
