Season: 11 | Episode: 4 | Length: 60m

Fiona Bruce and art expert Philip Mould investigate a murky canvas covered in white household paint that could potentially be a work of expressionist painter Arshile Gorky. Liza Dunluce came across the painting after it was gifted to her late husband Alexander in 1965 when he was Keeper of Conservation at the Tate Gallery. Gorky's widow Agnes 'Mougouch' Magruder gave it to him and instructed him to remove the layer of white paint so the picture underneath could be exhibited but when the artist's granddaughter Saskia tells Fiona that Gorky used to cover his work with white paint as part of his creative process, it brings up the question should the white layer be removed or would that be ruining the work altogether?
