The conclusion of a two-part episode. The People of Poplar Choir performance brings festive cheer and romance is in the air for Nancy when she is asked out by Roger Noble. They agree to go to the funfair, but a sudden accident brings their date to an abrupt end before Nancy has had a chance to address the fact she is a single mother. As concern grows for missing Reggie, the residents pull together to try to find him, while escaped prisoner Jock McKechnie has a personal reason for being in Poplar - only for events to escalate when he injures his hand.
