'The Haunting of Bly Manor' officially has a trailer. A premiere date for the Netflix series has also been announced.

The series marks the latest chapter in the 'Haunting' anthology which began with 'The Haunting of Hill House'.

Henry James novella 'The Turning of the Screw' is the source of this latest. A number of movie and TV adaptations inspired by the novel exist, most recently horror movie 'The Turning' with Mackenzie Davis, Finn Wolfhard, and Brooklynn Prince.

The setting of 'The Haunting of Bly Manor' is 1980s England.

Its official synopsis reads: "After an au pair’s tragic death, Henry Wingrave (Henry Thomas) hires a young American nanny (Victoria Pedretti) to care for his orphaned niece and nephew (Amelie Bea Smith, Benjamin Evan Ainsworth). They reside at Bly Manor with the estate’s chef Owen (Rahul Kohli), groundskeeper Jamie (Amelia Eve) and housekeeper, Mrs. Grose (T’Nia Miller).

"But all is not as it seems at the manor. Centuries of dark secrets of love and loss are waiting to be unearthed in this chilling gothic romance. At Bly Manor, dead doesn’t mean gone."

Oliver Jackson-Cohen, Kate Siegel, and Tahirah Sharif also star.

Mike Flanagan (who also directed 'Doctor Sleep') returns as exec producer and director.

'The Haunting of Bly Manor' debuts on Netflix on October 9th.
