'Star Wars: The Bad Batch' will be the next series from the hit sci-fi franchise coming to Disney+.

The show is a spin-off from 'Star Wars: The Clone Wars', which proved a major hit.

The Bad Batch were characters first introduced in 'Clone Wars', which recently aired its finale on Disney+.

They are an elite, experimental and unique squad of clones. They find themselves in a rapidly changing galaxy immediately after the Clone War.

Reads the synopsis: "each possess a singular exceptional skill which makes them extraordinarily effective soldiers and a formidable crew.

"In the post-Clone War era, they will take on daring mercenary missions as they struggle to stay afloat and find new purpose."

Dave Filoni, who worked on 'The Mandalorian' and 'The Clone Wars' executive produces with Athena Portillo, Brad Rau, and Jennifer Corbett.

Carrie Beck is co-executive producer and Josh Rimes is producer.

Rau is also serving as supervising director with Corbett as head writer.

'The Bad Batch' debuts on Disney+ in 2021.
